CRIME PREVENTION

Our goal as Crime Prevention Specialists at the Woods Cross Police Department is to work with our citizens in addressing crime or problems in your neighborhoods. We need the participation of every citizen to be successful in reducing crime.

Neighborhood Watch Groups are one key to success in reducing crime throughout the city. When neighbors get to know each other and work towards a common goal such as neighborhood safety it brings more than crime reduction. It builds a sense of community which has benefits for crime reduction and far beyond.
Knowledge is also an important key to fighting crime. Sometimes you do not have a clear picture of what is occurring in your neighborhood. When you know what is happening in your neighborhood you know what to look for and how to report it.

To get this started, the WXPD will be holding monthly meetings with our community. Check our WXPD Calendar for meeting dates & times. We will have an informal open house style evening. Come find out info about your neighborhood, tips on safety, community outreach ideas or just stop by to say Hi. We would love to get to know you and your families.
